Bittersweet Rules:

Each member (Admin or regular) must follow both this set of rules as well as the rules belonging to the C-Box. Failure to follow rules will resort in warnings. For each rule broken, you will get one friendly reminders. After that you will get one warning with a maximum of three warnings per rule. If you use up your three chances, you will be banned for one day from the website (not the C-Box). After that, one week, then one month, then a year, for each rule that is broken. There are no exceptions.

Regarding Content:

-- This website is for mature role players both in experience and in age. We do not discriminate against anyone under the age of fourteen years old, though we expect our members to at least exceed that age limit. This is due to mature subject matter that may end up in some of our website threads. Anyone under the legal age of majority in their country of residence is asked to have parental consent before using this website. Bittersweet Forever is in no way liable for anyone that may lie about their age in order to gain access to the website.

-- Because this website is being used by those over the age of fourteen, there are allowances to mature subject matter. Profanities (curse words) are allowed on this website, we do not limit freedom of speech. Racial slurs are severely discouraged, especially in the C-Box and in no way do we encourage your character using them, however, in some instances you may find a character using a racial term. We do not mind seeing this as long as its within taste, and its clear that the racial term being used is for role playing purposes only. We do not want to see any OOC racism, sexism, or any other kind of "ism," nor do we want to see the excessive use of such "isms." Please, use your common sense in this regard.

-- The other type of mature subject matter that you may encounter during your stay on this website is of the sexual variety. Sexual role playing is allowed, as long as its not the only thing you're doing on this website. In life, people do have sex, they discuss sex, they watch sex on television or on the computer. We are not going to limit characters to PG13 love scenes, but if you are going to engage in a BTB (Below the Belt) role play, We do expect you, at the end of your thread topic, to include "BTB" just to let others know that your thread does contain graphic sexuality so that they can avoid it if they are uncomfortable with such situations. (Please note that the term BTB was created by Theresa, a volunteering representative that holds discussions about the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). Permission during a discussion was granted to use this term under our copyright.)

-- There will be no stealing anybody's photographs, icons, banners, signatures, graphics, fan fictions, or any other sort of personal material on this website. It is copyrighted, by law, to that person and if you are caught stealing it, you will be punished. If you wish to use anyone's content, be it from Bittersweet Forever or an external site, please ensure you have permission (from Shantel specifically) to do so. Generally, this excludes icons, banners, signatures and graphics from communities which provide such material for your personal use. Still, we would feel much more comfortable if you have ensured that your use of such material is acceptable by their respective owners beforehand.

Regarding Members:

-- Any cliques (groups of friends that post together and exclude other members in posts or ignore other topics not including their small clique of friends) will be nipped in the bud and approached directly by either Shantel or Lauren. After this warning, should the cliques reform, the parties involved will be banned for 24 hours.

-- Any member that leaves without posting a proper LOA or any sort of notice is more than welcome to rejoin the website should they apply for the same (or a new) character. Should they leave a second time without an LOA or any other sort of notice, they will not be welcome to rejoin the website regardless of excuses. It's completely disrespectful, especially the second time around.

Regarding Characters:

-- Anyone with only created characters may not create a new character unless they adopt a canon first. All Admin members must have at least one active canon character as of March 14th, 2010. This is a Twilight role play website and everyone should have at least one to make it fair for everyone.

-- Anyone that is found neglecting their canons (after having made them to create new created characters) will have their created characters taken from them. Anyone found neglecting their characters will be given a character limit and asked to delete some characters to meet that limit.

-- All changes in PB (Your characters face claim) must be applied for from now on. This is due to people changing their PB for their characters whenever they like, this makes it unfair on those who want to create new characters if PB's are constantly being changed. You can only change your Celebrity PB twice.

-- Any character with a job must either create a thread or join an already created thread based on their job the first day of the month and on the 14th of the month. (Two work-themed threads a month). An example of these can be a teacher. A teacher can create a thread for their class, join a thread included in the school or join a plot based on the school (like a dance or a prom).

-- All wolves must participate in a wolf pack thread at least once a month. All volturi members must participate in a Volturi thread at least once a month. All Cullen's and Denali's must participate in a family-themed thread at least once a month.

-- Any new plots involving characters must be brought to Shantel and Lauren beforehand (through the plot sign-up board). This includes character imprinting, being imprinted upon, getting in a relationship with another character, pregnancies, marriages and so forth. Both Shantel and Lauren will discuss the plot and either allow it or reject it. We are doing this mainly because the same people are hogging characters (meaning only getting involved with one other members characters, only role playing with certain people, etc...) and it's simply not fair to the others. We also have to keep the plot updated with the canon's, this will give us a chance to. This rule is effective as of immediately. Any plots that are currently not already on Bittersweet Forever must bide by this rule. (If you have been talking about doing it, you still need both Shantel and Lauren to approve it. The other Admin are busy with other things on the website so we are leaving it to those two to approve plot ideas.) If you have discussed it with an Admin before hand, you must rediscuss it with both Shantel and Lauren.

Regarding Posting:

-- There is to be no advertising for other websites in any of the threads. There will be a specific board for this that will be designed for advertising. If we see any member advertising in any other board, the threads will be instantly deleted and you will have to deal with the consequences which may include permanent banning from the website.

-- As a mature (and experienced) website, we do require any/all role playing posts to have a minimum of 300 words, with no maximum. These limitations are set due to the vast majority of people that use "one liners" (only one sentence) to reply to other members longer posts. This word limitation does not count for C-Box usage, Private Messages (PMs), or any other out of character (OOC) posts.

-- Any immediate (canon) Twilight character in use (Bella, Edward, Alice, Jasper, Renesmee, Jacob, Emmett, Rosalie, Jasper, Carlisle and Esme as well as any other canon characters) must be in use frequently. This rule is now in effect because when people see "Twilight RPG", these are the characters they want to be associated with. Any canon Twilight character must post at once every two weeks, (there are exceptions) with proper punctuation, correct grammar and a length exceeding 300 words. You will have your character taken away should you fail to follow this guideline.

-- There is to be no god modding. This means that you are forbidden to manipulate another persons character in your post. (This does not include characters not being played by members. Example: a bellboy in a hotel your character is staying at. These are called temporary characters.) Do not make up things for another character to say, do not make them do any action that the other character has not performed, do not kill off any character without their consent. If a character wishes to be killed off, they must first ask permission (in the plot sign-up board) and get Admin approval. If a member allows you to God Mod their character, simply attach a footnote to your post stating so.

-- Any threads using temporary characters (TC's) must state so in the thread title.

Regarding Activity:

-- Activity checks (for members) will happen exactly one week before the end of the month and end on the last day of each month. Character checks (for characters) will happen during the exact same time as an activity check. Each member is responsible for each. The Admin will be removing the signatures and the avatars attached to any account and stripping said account of the celebrity portrayal should they not post in two weeks. Said celebrity will be open for use. Any canon character that does not post in one two will be put back up for adoption. This will decrease the websites bandwidth usage and give active members a chance to use the inactive celebrity. After one month of inactivity on an account (character posts), the account will be deleted. There will be no warning. It is your responsibility to keep active, not ours. If you decide to make said account active you will have to re-register and re-apply.

-- Should a member have to take a leave of absence for exams, vacation or any other reasons excluding groundings or emergencies, we expect them to let one of the Admin members (mainly Comet) know. If you know you'll be leaving before hand, please don't start many threads. It just frustrates members to have to put threads on hold.
